BBCRA/City Joint Projects
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Following the FY23-24 Budget approval in September 2023, the BBCRA and City entered into an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) to provide BBCRA funding for design activities, materials and equipment, and installation costs associated with the physical improvements for specific projects as outlined in the BBCRA's Project Fund. The ILA which was approved by the City and BBCRA at their respective meetings on November 7, 2023 and November 13, 2023 details the responsibilities of the City and BBCRA, the procedures for reimbursement funding to the City, and the reporting requirements by the City to ensure compliance with the BBCRA Plan and Florida Statutes.
As an overview, the City will be responsible for overseeing the projects, coordinating with the contractor(s) and other entities as necessary for the completion of the projects. Additionally, the City will also be responsible for the maintenance of the improvements as a result of the project, along with contracting with other entities as necessary to comply with applicable codes.
During the FY24-25 budget planning process, the BBCRA and City updated the project list which was reviewed and approved by both the City Commission and BBCRA Board. The table below provides an overview of the approved items:
